Cincinnati, OH, November 15, 2023 – Two dynamic leaders from Staffmark Group have achieved recognition on Staffing Industry Analyst's 2023 Global Power 150 Women in Staffing list, an annual award that recognizes the most influential women in the industry. CEO Stacey Lane and SVP Barbara Simmer have both been named to the list, a testament to their significant contributions to their companies and the future of work.
Lane, a champion of digital transformation, leads concurrent strategies for Staffmark Group and sister company Indeed Flex, focused on revolutionizing the staffing industry and offering a digital self-serve experience. Her dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace has led to several noteworthy milestones, including new business resource groups (BRGs) supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, military and veteran communities, and Black employees and allies. In the last year, she launched new guiding principles and purpose to position Staffmark Group as the “heart between people and jobs.” Outside of work, she is a mentor with Foster Nation, which helps foster youth transitioning out of the system develop skills for a better life.
Similarly, Simmer has played a pivotal role in bringing people and technology together. Charged with the leading the organization’s digital staffing strategy, she oversees the collaboration between Staffmark Group and Indeed Flex. Under her leadership, their temporary work app had substantial enhancements, particularly in time and attendance functionalities, which played a pivotal role in expanding its use across multiple states. Her efforts produced significant results including a 393% year-over-year revenue increase, 623% surge in clients serviced, and a 94% talent tech adoption rate. Beyond her accomplishments, Simmer is deeply committed to the success of fellow women professionals, as evidenced by her role as a mentor to women leaders.
